Tendon injuries are difficult to manage and the results of surgery are, in less specialized hands not predictable. I have developed both traditional and minimally invasive techniques in this field, and I have extensive experience in the management of complex tendon problems especially in the Achilles and patellar tendons. I have developed percutaneous techniques to repair the Achilles tendon. In this way the operation, which is performed under local anesthesia, leaves only minimal scars. In this way patients can weight bear immediately and recovery is faster and more complete than with traditional techniques.
